Mystery Cross
The object of this contest was to fill in a grid with a given set of letters, one letter per square, to spell a set of related words reading across and down. The shortest of these nine words—that is, the four-letter entry reading down near the center (CLIO) —was the answer to this contest. One approach was to think of things that there are nine of—in this case, the nine Muses of Greek mythology.
