Results of Games Online Contest #6

This contest closed on June 1, 2006. A new contest will appear on or around July 1.

Board Check

The object of this contest was to identify the games in which the gameboard details below can be found. Each correct guess was worth 1 point, and each incorrect guess lost 1 point. The four contestants who identified all 15 games correctly, plus one chosen randomly from the group with 14 correct, have won a year's subscription to Games. The game most often missed was the Major Battles and Campaigns of General George S. Patton, an unusual wargame designed by Sid Sackson.

The answers, from left to right and top to bottom, are as follows:
StarForce, The Alamo, Careers
Bug-Eyed Monsters From Outer Space, Empire of the Petal Throne, Civilization
Diplomacy, A House Divided, Valley of the Four Winds
Quebec 1759, Major Battles and Campaigns of General George S. Patton, Passing Through the Netherworld
Speed Circuit, Dragon Pass, Tactics

Senet was an acceptable alternative name for Passing Through the Netherworld.
