GAMES, founded in 1977, is a consumer magazine featuring a wide variety of verbal and visual puzzles, brainteasers, trivia quizzes, contests, and many other features, as well as reviews of new board games and electronic games. Each December issue, GAMES publishes a Buyer's Guide featuring reviews of its editors' 100 favorite nonelectronic and 100 favorite electronic games, as well as awards for Game of the Year, Electronic Game of the Year, and Best New Game in many categories. GAMES is published by Kappa Publishing Group, Inc. of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, the leading publisher of puzzle magazines as well as a major publisher of sports magazines, including THE RING.
